The January 29th meeting introduced a new Club Assembly format by inviting the club members to sit at "committee tables" according to their interest and passion.  Due to the number of committees, a series of 3 Committee Forums will be held over the next couple of months.  The first one held on January 29th focused on our Community; International; and Vocational.  The Golf committee was also included due to the Chair being unavailable for the following forum.  The second forum will be held on February 19th and will focus on  “Fundraising and Member Engagement”.  The third and final forum on March 19th. will focus on “Strategic Planning”.  The primary purpose for these forums is to determine the clubs activities for 2015/16 and develop a focus for the foreseeable future. 
The focus for each forum was purposely determined according to a logical sequence:
  1. Before fundraising you need to know why we are fundraising.  Therefore the first meeting should focus on what community, vocational and international activities we are going to do as a club.
  2. The second step is to determine how we are going to achieve those goals.  We are looking at financial and human resources (fundraising and member participation). 
  3. Development of a strategic plan that reflects the planned activities of our club and focus for the foreseeable future.
