12 Hour Ball Wacking to raise funds for COMMIT'd work in Nicaragua

How does one person raise $10,000 by staying in one spot for 12 hours ?

By continuously hitting golf balls,

that’s how!

London Hyde Park Rotarian David Knoppert hit 6865 golf balls, at least 100 yards each, over 12 hours.

This event occurred on Wed July 24^th at West Haven Golf and Country Club, in London, ON.

David had many sponsors whose pledges added up to about $1 for every golf ball that was hit.

In addition, Sterling Marking Products was a Corporate Sponsor.

Thanks also to West Haven Golf and Country Club and Dr Mario Faveri,

as well to the members of the London Hyde Park Rotary Club and the COMMIT Team for all of their support.

All of the money that was raised will go to support the Canadian Outreach Medical Team (COMMIT),

a group affiliated with the Rotary Club in Stratford, ON, in its work in Nicaragua
