Back to School - A Rotary Project in Philippines - Presentation by PDG John van Laar

Past District John van Laar is seated with club member Sue Storie.  John and his wife Cora spoke passionately about the typhoon that recently devastated parts of the Philippines last year and showed pictures of the destruction.  They spoke about the good work Rotary has done over the past several years to help the poor and destitute.   The presentation ended with John and Cora's true passion - their back to school program that is taking children from the dump, like this young boy below and helping them get an education so their future can be so different and better than their present.
