The Ronald McDonald House Family Baking Program offers volunteers a hands-on way to support families with seriously ill children. By preparing homemade baked goods, volunteers provide comfort and nourishment to families staying at the house, helping to create a warm, home-like environment during a challenging time.
What Volunteers Do:
- Plan and prepare freshly baked treats such as cookies, muffins, and pastries.
- Work in the Ronald McDonald House kitchen, following food safety guidelines.
Why It Matters:
- Provides families with a sense of normalcy and care while their child receives medical treatment.
- Helps create a supportive and welcoming environment for those going through difficult times.
- Gives volunteers a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact on families in need.
Who Can Volunteer:
- Members and friends of Rotary who are 16 yrs old or above.
- No prior baking experience required – just a willingness to help and follow provided recipes.
How to Get Involved:
- Let us know you would like to help out on this date - we can have a maximum of 8 volunteers per baking session
- Bring enthusiasm and a love for baking!
By donating time and skills, volunteers help bring warmth and joy to families when they need it most. A simple act of baking can make a big difference.
